| CEDA TRUST is involved in a number of activities and projects in different fields of social welfare interventions and campaigns. Different programme units are entrusted with the proper implementation of the different activities, for a better understanding, concentration and coordination in the specific project. The Programme Units are: |
- CHILD RIGHTS CAMPAIGN – TAMIL NADU (CRC – TN) :
The activities related to the Child Rights, especially net working and advocacy campaigns are carried out under this programme unit . The Trust has also promoted Child Rights Campaign – Puducherry (CRC –P) for activities in Puducherry, in collaboration with HOPE, Puducherry.
- ECOLOGICAL SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE INSTITUTE (ESAI):
The activities connected with eco-friendly farming methods, like organic farming activities and land reclamation programmes in the Tsunami affected areas are carried out under this Programme Unit.
- DINDIGUL COMMUNITY COLLEGE (DCC):
The training programmes for adolescent children, intended to equip them with the skill to get employment opportunities for self reliance, including communicative English and other communication skills are carried out under this Programme Unit.
- KARAIKAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE (KCC):
The training programmes of the adolescent members of the Tsunami affected community in the coastal region of Karaikal District in Puducherry are conducted by this Programme Unit. The programmes are intended to prepare the school dropouts and other adolescents to acquire skills that will get them better placements for gainful employment. The skills are suited to the requirements of the area.
- TAMIL NADU ENVIRONMENT COUNCIL (TNEC):
All the environment related activities, except land reclamation and organic farming, are carried out under this Programme Unit. Networking and advocacy campaigns for environment protection are the thrust areas of this Unit. The Trust also promotes another Unit for Puducherry, viz., Puducherry Environment Council (PEC) in collaboration with HOPE, Puducherry.
